SIPAT Election Process

The annual SIPAT Executive Board election process is planned in accordance with the SIPAT Bylaws. Below is a calendar/timeline of events for the upcoming year. For a description of each board member position, link here then click on each position title.

December 10, 2016 SIPAT announces and posts Nominating Committee timeline and board application process
December 11, 2016 - January 10, 2017

Open search for Nominating Committee members
(Three members and one alternate member)

January 10, 2017

SIPAT General Membership Meeting

  • Elect Nominating Committee
  • SIPAT President announces open applications for board positions and application deadline.
Mid to late January 2017 Nominating Committee meets and selects chairperson
January 11 - February 7, 2017 Nominating Committee solicits board applications (PDF | Word) from CCE community
February 7, 2017 Deadline to submit applications for board positions
By February 14, 2017 Nominating Committee reviews board applications and creates proposed slate of officers. Proposed slate is posted on the SIPAT web site and in hardcopy outside the CCE office.
February 21, 2017 Proposed slate presented at February SIPAT Executive Board Meeting. Board discusses recruiting for any remaining vacancies as needed.
March 14, 2017

SIPAT General Membership Meeting

  • SIPAT membership votes on proposed slate and/or any last minute proposed nominations from the floor (per SIPAT bylaws)
  • Nominating Committee work officially complete
After March 14, 2017 Any open board positions after this date will be filled by appointment and vote of the SIPAT Executive Board
