Kindergarten Camp
An introduction to Spanish immersion kindergarten for incoming CCE kindergarteners. One week (four days, Monday through Thursday) of daily interaction with a group of approximately 20 students for about 1½ hours per day.

- SESSION 1: M-Th, August 6-9, 9:00-10:30 a.m.
- SESSION 2: M-Th, August 6-9, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
- SESSION 3: M-Th, August 13-16, 9:00-10:30 a.m.
- SESSION 4: M-Th, August 13-16, 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

- In a classroom at CCE. Exact location to be determined.

Why |
- Allows incoming kindergarteners to get a feel for what it is like to listen to a teacher in Spanish
- Provides an opportunity to meet some potential new classmates
- Allows students to learn some basic skills to prepare for kindergarten
- Prepares students by introducing them to activities that are similar to those they will experience in the first few weeks of school
- Provides parents with an opportunity to preview parent-child separation issues before the first day of school

Who |
- All incoming kindergarten students at CCE may sign up for one session.
- Summer 2018 sessions will be taught by a credentialed CCE teacher.
- Sponsored by SIPAT and organized by the VP, New Parent Integration.
