Fiesta and Family Picnic

Saturday, May 5, 2018, 3-6 p.m.

Fiesta is a fun-filled day of celebration where the CCE community comes together to celebrate a variety of Latin cultures. Moving from country to country, children have their "passport" stamped while making crafts, fishing for toys, gardening and making or eating food from a Latin country. There are a variety of stellar live performances including dancers, poets and musicians (both professional and CCE student performers).

The Fiesta celebration is located on the South side of the CCE campus, centered in Redwood Park. This location allows all entertainment, food, activity booths and families to be in one large open space. With the open grassy space everyone can bring a blanket, chair and picnic and settle down for an afternoon of fun. Everyone is invited and there is no participation fee.

Enjoy some local cuisine from the DJUSD food truck, and support the sixth grade end-of-year events by purchasing a soda or water. Fiesta is a "break even" event, meaning the income from food sales is used to cover the cost of craft supplies, stage rental, and the food sold. Sign up here to volunteer to make this another great celebration of culture and community!
