Parent Education Meetings

Throughout the year, the principal and school administration offer informational meetings on many valuable topics related to the school milestones and experience. SIPAT provides setup and communication help for these meetings as needed. Meeting dates and topics are as follows:

  • First Grade Early Readers Meeting — September
How to help your child learn to read, how to encourage Círculo reading. Attended by first grade parents.
  • Kindergarten Information Night — February
A chance for interested families to learn more about the CCE and MME Spanish Immersion programs. Attended by incoming kindergarten parents.
  • Transition to Junior High Meeting — February/March
In the past, this meeting has included a discussion panel of current and former CCE parents. Attended by sixth grade parents.
  • Entering Second Grade Summer Reading Program Meeting — February/March
First grade parents should attend this meeting to learn why summer reading is important, how the school will help, and how you (parent) can help maintain your child's current reading level.
  • Transition to First Grade Meeting — April/May
Preparing your kindergartener for first grade. Attended by kindergarten parents.

For more information on these meetings, or to suggest a new parent education event, contact the CCE principal directly.
