Picnic Day Parade

CANCELLED - The 2020 UC Davis Picnic Day Parade has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

...

Please join our school's walking delegation as we celebrate the enriched experience our bilingual and multicultural educational program offers to our families.

We plan to carry and wave flags from countries all over the world representing our families’ cultural and/or linguistic backgrounds. SIPAT will provide some flags, and you are encouraged to bring your own flag(s) signifying your family’s origin (country flag). The dimensions of the flag need to be 2 feet by 3 feet or smaller.

How to Sign Up

If you and your family would like to participate you will need to:

  1. SIGN UP - cancelled
  2. COMPLETE AND SUBMIT WAIVERS (available in main office). You will need an INDIVIDUAL WAIVER for each participant under the age of 18, and one GROUP WAIVER for all participants age 18 and over. For example... a participating CCE family with 2 parents and 2 children under age of 18 will need to submit three (3) forms - one individual waiver for each child under the age of 18, and one group waiver for the two parents age 18 and over.
Participation Guidelines
  • Waivers must be submitted by March 11, 2020 at 3 p.m.
  • Without exception, everyone participating in the Parade must arrive and check-in by 8:00 a.m. at California Ave, Parking Lots 14 and 15.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult (i.e., they cannot be dropped off at the start and picked up at the end of, or any time during, the parade.)
  • All participants should wear current CCE apparel (blue t-shirt or blue hooded sweatshirt).
  • Flags must be 2-feet by 3-feet or smaller.
  • Bikes, skates, rollerblades, and scooters are not allowed.
  • Strollers and pull-along wagons are allowed.

Participation is free and very appreciated! If you are planning to join our happy and enthusiastic SIPAT delegation, please turn in your waivers to the main CCE office as soon as possible as space is limited.
