The annual Progressive Dinner is a wonderful opportunity to build community through a FREE, adults-only evening of uninterrupted conversation over appetizers, dinner and dessert at different locations.

Evening Schedule
  • APPETIZERS:  4:30 to 6:30 p.m. at your assigned host's home (arranged by grade level)
  • DINNER:  6:45 to 8:45 p.m. at your assigned host's home (arranged by grade level)
  • DESSERT — new format this year:  9:00 to 10:30 p.m. (everyone) at GoodHome Group Real Estate offices. This portion of the evening includes desserts, music, after-dinner drinks, coffee, tea and time for socializing with the larger group.
How It Works

Food is provided by attending parents. You can volunteer to host or to bring an appetizer, main course, side dish or dessert. Those who volunteer to host a dinner provide bread, salad, and a non-alcoholic beverage for your guests (6+ people). We will need hosts for the appetizer course too (about 25-50 people). If you are vegetarian or have special diet restrictions, please include a note where appropriate in the sign-up form. We encourage you to bring a side dish but make it a vegetarian (or other restriction) main course so it meets your special needs.

Child Care

Dinner is adults only. SIPAT is organizing childcare from 4:15 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. using Davis Kids Club staff for only $5 per child. Please sign up for childcare when you sign up for the dinner, or email Robin Erbacher to sign up separately.

Care will be provided in the City of Davis Redwood Building, adjacent to the César Chávez Elementary School campus. Care will include pizza, snacks and a movie. Crafts will also available, and we encourage kids to bring a game to share as well.

How Do I Sign Up?

Please email Progressive Dinner Coordinator, Robin Erbacher.
